The Year of the Novel idea

Welcome one and welcome all. So here we are, 2013 is upon us and it looks as though this year is to be more challenging than any other before it, as this is the year of my novel idea. Yes madness descended upon the dark satanic mills of Manchester and I have set myself a goal of completing, editing and producing my first novel ready for the fantasy and epic fiction market by 2nd December 2013.

There are a few grand challenges before me, not only must I complete the writing of Beyond the Mist, but I want to have it professionally edited, rewritten, a professional cover commissioned and the book promoted, marketed, formatted and ready to be on the shelves (virtual and tree based) by the beginning of the last month of this year.

On my journey I suspect I will have many trials and tribulations. Even I anticipate some moments of great joy and triumph. I will be making some hard decisions, dedicating my spare time to writing and editing, and deciding how and when I will market and publish my book. So it is to you I turn to follow me on my mad writing journey, as I create a novel and tread through the mire of modern self publishing.  I hope that it will be entertaining and educational, helpful and inspiring. If I can do it, then certainly so can you do anything you desire enough and put your mind to.

I look forward to your support and having you join me along the way as I blog my weekly update on my writing and publishing journey and perhaps even share an occasional peak preview with you of some of the contents of the novel.

Here’s to a creative, productive and pro-active 2013!

You can rely on it Paolo.

Writing can be a lonely and isolating craft, no matter how much we enjoy it. Us writers enjoy discussing and comparing ideas, it can only add to our creative process and help us improve upon it. We also cherish the encouragement we can receive. I hope you and other writers with find that here.

As with all things, the harder we work the luckier we become in our writing.

      Many blessings
